Jen Miller

Pinching myself, I reflect on three decades of utter joy helping others (authors and musicians) help others (readers and worshippers) through my calling and passions: developmental book editing and writing and publishing books, music, lyrics, and poetry. 

Walking alongside authors and songwriters to refine and polish your “heart” work deeply fulfills me: life stories, faith-based help books, Bible studies, workbooks, devotionals, theology books, poetry books, praise and worship music, and lyrics.

I’m grateful to Karen (former CED owner) for welcoming me to the team in 2012 and Rachel, Dale, and Jake (current owners) for gifting me further opportunities to serve our clients.

As an author and CED team member, I see CED’s heart of love and integrity from both perspectives. Each client is seen and heard as God’s unique individual carrying a unique vision and purpose in their manuscripts and music. Our team’s genuine care and one-on-one attention to clients are unparalleled in publishing. I’m amazed by team members’ respective arts of excellence and so grateful we get to weave our passions into your projects!  

I’m a deep-South gal who enjoys fryin’ up a mess of fresh okra and catfish. Books fall onto my face and startle me awake as I nod to sleep reading. Writers, musicians, words, books, films, gorillas, people’s God stories, and time with family and piano inspire me.

My clan includes my angel husband, our Marine war-veteran son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, our daughter, and Blu (rescued Yorkie). The following poetic passage is one of my favorites:

“If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast” (Psalm 139:8–10 NIV).
